A deep thinker, Abhishek knows that the design thinking process can uncover the pull and push factors between society and individuals. Once uncovered, these can develop into key insights to effect change for the betterment of society, through processes offered by an organisation such as the government.
Abhishek is an active practitioner of the process in his everyday life, constantly engaging in conversations with individuals to draw out their experiences and emotions so that he can better empathise with them. He has also participated in numerous hackathons and challenges where his team designed products and services based on the user experience perspective.
By exploring the long-term care strategy with a government agency in Singapore, Abhishek was able to identify the pain-points of the current and future users. He has also explored topics related to the experiences of families living in rental scheme housing in Singapore with a voluntary welfare organisation, as well as the experiences of retrenched workers as they explore options to move ahead with their lives.
Abhishek’s background is in systems engineering. He holds a degree from Singapore University of Technology and Design.
