Elisa is a passionate change maker, looking for innovative and sustainable solutions to protracted problems. Convinced of the added value of the Sustainable Development Goal #17 (Alliances) and the triple bottom line as the basis for positive transformation, she believes in Human Centered Design as a tool to achieving the balance of the social, environmental and economic impacts.
For more than ten years she has worked in the non-profit sector in a dozen countries in Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, promoting behavior change as a sustainable response to the consequences of some of the worst humanitarian crises. This includes her work in overseeing the delivery of humanitarian response programs in the Great Lakes Regions of DRC, Burundi and Tanzania where she was based in Goma, eastern DRC, and her experiences piloting digital education interventions in refugee camp settings in Malawi and Lebanon.
In her way of working, she combines her university background in Communication and Social and Cultural Anthropology, achieving deep ethnographic investigations and powerful presentations of results and lessons learned, always building bridges and ensuring that the voice of the leading agents of change is heard loud and clear.
