Marshall loves sharing authentic and connected experiences, especially when it involves eating. As the lines continue to blur between man and machine, his ultimate goal is to help people tap into what it means to be human through food and cooking.
Marshall’s expertise lies in applying design thinking at the intersection of food, science, technology and the marketplace. His strength is in consideration, taking into account a wide range of beliefs to generate optimal solutions, especially in areas that are personal and divisive. He has been involved with multiple projects relating to dietary improvement for disadvantaged populations and utilization of waste streams in the food industry. These efforts, combined with a period of overseas development work, stem from a strong desire to make a difference.
Previously working as a product developer in North America, he continually strives to incorporate a strong consumer focus into his work to generate success. Marshall has a formal education in both food science and culinary arts, but believes his most important teachings come from world travel. He is a lifelong learner of design and advocate of its power to change the way we relate with each other and the global community.
