
Aside from his addition to masala chai and productivity apps, Rajay is passionate about using research grounded in empathy to create spaces (both physical and digital), in which we can all feel safe, secure, and connected. He loves to connect ideas between the arts and sciences to investigate the world and come up with creative and unconventional solutions to complex problems, particulrarly in public health, education and development.
Rajay has worked as a user experience designer building smooth and streamlined customer experiences that result in user-centric products through user research, wireframing, information architecture and prototyping. In Kenya, he has designed products, services and websites for ambitious startups and fast-growing companies in retail automation, customer engagement, IoT and telecommunications.
Rajay has also worked in various capacities as a tutor and teacher, designing curricula and delivering lessons to students in Nairobi, Berkeley, and London. In 2018, Rajay worked as a teacher for Summerbridge Hong Kong, an English immersion program aimed at improving the English skills for underprivileged students.
Rajay holds a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences from University College London, an interdisciplinary degree where he majored in Sciences and Engineering and minored in Cultures.
