Ariam is a social and behavioral change specialist with the aim of improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Ariam is a highly motivated and result-oriented professional with a strong commitment to public health. She is a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. She is also a creative and innovative thinker with a strong ability to solve complex problems in a unique manner.

Ariam is a highly experienced and skilled public health professional with over 7 years of experience in teaching, research, and project management.  She had experience teaching and training students and health professionals on health education and health promotion, social and behavioral change communication strategies, material development, and evaluation.

Ariam was a manager at the Behavioral Health Insight Research and Design Lab (BIRD LAB), where she was responsible for managing the operations of the BIRD LAB and the Behavioral Surveillance Survey site (BSS) at the behavioral science unit of AAU. She led a team of experts in planning research and fieldwork, conducted both qualitative and quantitative research on behavioral health, facilitated and delivered various dissemination workshops and in-person training related to human behavior, and applied human-centered design in various research.

Moreover, Ariam was a deputy project director for the project Management office at the College of Health Sciences, AAU, where she provided technical support in scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and communication. She has been engaged in various projects as a principal investigator, project coordinator, and research assistant in various institutions such as WHO, AU, UNICEF, and BUSARA.
