Carla Connolly

Senior Executive Designer
Australia

Carla believes the best solutions to complex problems are the ones we design together. A skilled facilitator in collaborative ways of working, Carla inspires teams to achieve ambitious outcomes by taking a human-centred approach to change.

Carla is a strategic design thinker with over ten years’ experience in strategic partnerships and complex analysis for the Australian Government. Specialising in national security, she has contributed to whole-of-government solutions to complex security challenges; most recently, applying her specialised knowledge and design skills to contribute to developing a governance system and prioritisation and resource allocation framework. Drawing on robust risk assessments of the external operating environment, the framework enables consistent, accountable and evidence-based decision making in a complex risk management context.

Carla has a passion for unlocking the creative thinking that lives within us all. She helps clients cut through the complex to find the simple, bringing divergent views and perspectives together to design solutions organisations will embrace. An experienced change management practitioner, Carla empowers clients to implement these solutions to make impact and achieve lasting change.

Carla has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong, a Graduate Certificate in Terrorism and Security Studies from Charles Sturt University, and is a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner.
