Dagem Demerew Yeshewalul is a detail-oriented program coordinator with a strong foundation in research, strategic management, and multi-stakeholder project coordination. Dagem has over six years of experience in program coordination, strategic management, and multi-stakeholder project operations. He has collaborated with international organizations, government agencies, and civil society groups across sectors, focusing on youth engagement, strategic capacity-building, and advocacy for social development.

Dagem’s expertise spans from comprehensive program development and strategic assessments to facilitating impactful stakeholder relationships that drive policy influence. He has supported programs that enhance youth agency and participation, particularly in sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), economic empowerment, and social norm change. His work includes conducting organizational assessments, developing capacity-building frameworks, and designing research methodologies to uncover behavioral insights and enable data-driven decision-making.

At ThinkPlace, Dagem has leveraged human-centered design and behavioral research to uncover underlying drivers influencing youth engagement and data use behaviors within health facilities. His work focuses on creating and testing prototypes that foster effective communication between youth and policymakers, facilitating evidence-based policy dialogue.

Dagem recently completed a Master’s degree in International Development Studies, further solidifying his expertise in addressing systems-level challenges and sustainable community development. With a commitment to the transformative potential of participatory design, he aims to empower communities and build pathways for long-lasting progress.
