Olivia is passionate about spending time talking directly to beneficiaries faced with complex problems and generating ideas of multiple ways through which the problems can be solved. She is keen on developing holistic solutions that can be implemented sustainably and conducting immersive research in diverse settings impacted by large-scale public health challenges.

Before ThinkPlace, she was a business consultant with experience in finance and tax advisory. Olivia has worked across sectors with local and multi-national clients providing them with solutions to their complex business challenges. As a business consultant-turned-strategic designer, Olivia is passionate about bringing invaluable lessons across disciplines to HCD.

Olivia has worked with The Gates Foundation in a consortium of partners on reducing maternal and neonatal mortality rates in Kakamega county through the redesign of the service delivery process in health facilities to provide quality care at the right time and in the right place. In this project, Olivia is supporting looking into ways through which design could help address major barriers to the implementation of service delivery redesign.

Olivia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Moi University and she is also a Certified Public Accountant.
